The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) brings you its Resources for Legislators facility that aims to be the primary reservoir of information for legislators and the public linking legislative information with research resources. This site makes available major bills being considered in both houses of the Congress of the Philippines. This site aspires to encourage more discussion and debate on pending bills by making it accessible to the public and by providing inputs from results of research studies for a more learned debate.

The kinds of information available in our database include full text versions of the bills; the major sponsor and co-sponsors of the bill; the current status of the bill in the legislative process; and the corresponding Committee Reports when available. The site also provides two mechanisms for providing feed back on pending legislation: sending email to your favourite Senator or Representative and on-line discussion of the bills. The other major component of this facility is the capacity to link a bill with available research resources making use of PIDS' Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines, a gateway to hundreds of completed research studies by the Institute and members of its network.
